My name is Imogen and I am a 2020 graduate from Edinburgh university where I read Architecture (MA) and I am currently living in Bristol, UK. I have a passion for innovative, community-led, discussion based design that contributes to more self-sufficient, sustainable futures. I have taken this passion and evolved it through multiple creative channels in my personal, academic and professional life.
I enjoy researching and exploring topics such as innovative material technology, biomimicry, regenerative design, urban agriculture, and social design. I also have a keen interest in art and sculpture and I like to explore my thoughts and feelings towards political, environmental and social issues through this medium.
I have a wide variety of experience from working at Biohm, an innovative material start up, to working with Oxfam in Bangladesh with the Rohingya women and girls in the Cox’s Bazarr refugee camp. I have also worked at the Earthship Biotecture in Taos, New Mexico, and made sculptural installations for Glastonbury. Currently, I am renovating a victorian Terrace house with my brother and dad, where I am gaining hands on building experience, construction project management skills and the chance to apply my architectural education in a direct way.
